Yucatan and Palenque

Hi!

April 24th and it's been snowing and raining today. A good day to stay at home. I found some old pictures from the end of the 90s, that I'd like to share.

Here we are in a restaurant in Palenque. We drove around, chasing chile peppers and pyramids. There were plenty of both :-) Check out the condiments on the table. I can still remember the taste of the red and green sauce. And how nice to have some sliced jalapeños.

Palenque

Another thing I won't forget is the steep steps on the pyramids.
I'm not 100% certain, but I think this is from Palenque
 Useful with a rope.
Palenque (?)

Uxmal, Pyramid of the magician
Chichen Itza (really steep steps.)

Have a nice day!

Cherry blossoms in Kungsträdgården

Depending on the weather, it might be another week before they are in full bloom.

But it sure was fantastic to see all the blossoms again.

It's the same miracle each year :-)

Capsicum spring flowers

Hi!

Not really spring yet. But the overwintered varieties are flowering!

Bode roxa
Beautiful flowers on this Capsicum chinense.

And another one.

Roumanian Gallo
Capsicum annuum are rare in my windows. But this one made me curious. Looks like it soon will have a pod coming. This one is from this season. Three months ago, we started the seeds. Already flowers.

Congo yellow
I like the shape of this one. Like a street light.

Habanero yellow
More chinense. With a little luck, I can have fresh habaneros for midsummer :-)

Wild Brasil
Very different variety. The flowers really come in clusters. Here you can see a tiny pod shaping.

Wishing you a great week!
